Yvon Juste

Yvon Juste passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at the age of 71. After a couple of weeks of battling a cold, Yvon peacefully died in his sleep with his beloved wife and children by his side. Yvon was born in Croix-Des-Bouquets, Haiti on December 18, 1952, of his mother Assefille Jean and father Jovius Juste. He was the youngest of all of his brothers. Yvon did not have the opportunity for much formal education. However, Yvon became a seamstress and made a living for himself in Haiti. He obtained enough finance and traveled to Miami, Florida approximately in the mid 1980s on a boat. In the beginning years of living in Miami, Florida, Yvon started working on farms and construction jobs in order to make a way for himself and his family. In the 1900s, Yvon landed a high paying construction job and invested in his dream home and car. Through all of his endeavors, he met his wife, had children, and took care of his sister and brothers. Yvon had a heart of steel. He helped his family and friends on a daily basis. When someone was in need, he was there quickly. Yvon also gave the best advice to everybody and enjoyed making people laugh and smile. His smile and laughter were contagious. And, his sense of style was immaculate. Everytime he stepped out of his house he made sure that he was well suited and smelled great for the day. Even in the face of illness, Yvon’s selfishness shone through. He maintained a genuine interest in the well being of his extended family and friends. His strength and grace during challenging times were a testament to his resilient spirit. Yvon (Pasteur) Juste will be remembered not only for his acts of kindness but for the enduring love and compassion he shared with everyone around him. As we mourn his passing, let us celebrate the beautiful life he lived and carry forward the lessons of love, generosity, and empathy that he so effortlessly embodied. Yvon was a loving son, father, grandfather, aunt, cousin, and friend to many. His spirit was marked by understanding, empath, wisdom, and unparalleled generosity that touched the lives of everyone he encountered. He carried a genuine concern for the well being of others, making him a source of comfort and strength to those in need. Yvon leaves behind his wife Gerta Gedine; children: Yves Juste, Yvena Juste, and Immaculee Gedine; grandchildren: Annabelle, Adrina, Nehemiah, and Aaliyah; siblings: Jean Lionel Juste, Lopez Juste, Jean Idovic Juste, Maciany Juste, and Solange Juste; God-child: Alex Catil; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
