Paul Emile Desamour

Paul Emile Desamour was born in the rural city of Quartier- Morin Haiti on February 5, 1940. The youngest of four children: two sisters and a brother. He naturally gained his knowledge of leadership from his older siblings. He grew up playing soccer and being skilled at sewing, a very proud young man who had ambitions from the start. His hunger for more grew his curiosity to explore the world and look towards the United States. He moved to the city of Port au Prince at the age of 18 to assert his independence. Paul decided he would need to go to great lengths to make something bigger out of his and his families lives. In his 30s he ventured off on a journey the would forever change the course of everything. Through different channels he made his way to Miami, FL in the late 70s, knowing that things were going to be ruff he buckled down and made a living. Through obstacles and various jobs he saved his money to get his family to join him. From being a dishwasher, carpenter and finally landing a caterer position with United Airlines where he would retire. His goal was to get his entire family to join him in the US to experience a better life-style. His first home in Miami, FL was an efficiency that he was eventually be able to purchase and be blessed to make his forever home. Paul was a driven hard working man who had big family values. Being a people person and having a beautiful spirit helped him gain the love of all he met, touched and laughed with. Paul was such a giver that he would give you the last dollar in his pocket. He made well to prove to himself and to those around him that you could always depend on him. A strong willed family supporter who never saw a stop sign in his path. From his infectious laugh, to his insanely generous spirit he was what you would describe as a blessing to those around him. His legacy continues on with his four children that he instilled his drive and passion to go out and be kind as he was, be fruitful as he was, and be the best person for your family, just as he was. Known by Idovict, DoDo, Grandpa, Papa and as we loved to call him Pop. He leaves to cherish his memory son: Bretrange Desamour / Grandchildren: Bentley Desamour, Brenajha Desamour, Brittany Desamour, Zynoviah Desamour, Nazir Desamour, Ermais Desamour, Arkel Desamour, Mario Desamour; daughter: Rosely Desamour-Nelson / Grandchildren: Khari Nelson, Alana Paige Nelson, Miley Nelson; son: Rivens Desamour / Grandchildren: Mya Brianna Desamour, Jonathan Alexander Desamour; son: Cupid Wendy Desamour / Grandchildren: Amor Desamour, Tru June Desamour, Ero Desamour; nieces and nephews: Andre, Jacquelin, Eddy, St. Tanau, Dominique, Emanuel, Nanotte, Elsie, Tania, Martine, Susuze, and a host of other family, and friends. He will forever be in our hearts.
