Marie C. Pierre

Ms. Marie Pierre was a phenomenal woman. She emigrated from Haiti to Nassau in 1962 in search of a better life for her family. She moved to Miami 11 years later, still seeking better opportunities for her children and extended family. She had four children whom she loved with all her heart. Ms. Pierre was diagnosed with cancer 23 years ago. She fought the illness with all her might and never allowed it to dampen her spirit. She believed in the goodness of the Lord and drew strength from Him every moment of every day. Ms. Pierre was firm in her convictions and humble in her lifestyle. She was always quick to offer a helping hand and share her God-given gifts with others. Ms. Pierre was easy to talk to and always ready to listen without judgment. She was gentle with the young and enjoyed their company as she herself was young at heart. She built strong lasting relationships, most of which lasted until the final moments of her life. She was a counselor, mentor, friend, mother, mother-in-law, grand-mother, aunt, cousin, niece, sister, and daughter. She was highly respected by all and an inspiration to all. Her positive outlook on life and her inner strength will forever leave their prints on the lives of all those she touched. Ms. Pierre breathed her last on the morning of Friday, May 19, 2023, in her beloved city of Miami. Ms. Pierre is survived by: her children: Cynthia Pierre, Kevin Francis, & Carolle Saintil, and Louis Pierre (deceased); her grandchildren: Stacie Pierre, Christie Pedeline, Michaela Saintil, Cassey Saintil, Chanel Cureton, Janeigne Newsone, & Kevin Jr. Francis; her great-grandchildren: Sylvia Lovett, Joshua Lovett, & Cashae Cureton; her sisters: Ophanise Pierre Verdul & St. Anie Pierre, her nieces and nephews: Primine Pierre & children, Jeanne Pierre, Henry Pierre & children, Villaire Pierre & children, Nice & children, Mrs. Frantz & children, Villa Pierre & children, Clebert Pierre & children, Philogene, Felina Pierre & children, Veronique Nelson & children, Frederick Francois & children, Ulric Francois & children, Nonce Francois & children, Aland Pierre & children, Navoix Etienne & children, Jude Etienne & children, Andrys Etienne & children, Estelina Decaillette & children, Mariella Alexandre, Robense Alonce & children, Joseph Verdul & children, Guirlene Verdul-Torchon & children, Carole Verdul, Marie Rose Raymond & children, Rose Bertha Etienne & children, Fania Raphael Etienne & children, Ketnie Salvant & children, Fritzner Pierre & children, Frida Pierre & children, Marco Etienne & children, Juliette Pierre & children, Rose Darnie Pierre & children, Cametrice Pierre & children, Daseline Pierre & children, Kenol Pierre & children, Izmode Pierre & children; her cousins: other relatives, and friends in Haiti, the United States, the Bahamas, and around the world
