She was born on February 4, 1962, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, to her devoted parents, Matine and MaryAnn Michele Joseph, as their third oldest child. Marie’s passion for traveling and unyielding determination led her to seek a better life. She first migrated to Nassau, Bahamas, before eventually settling in Miami, Florida, where she built a life filled with love, resilience, and unwavering dedication to her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, always putting the needs of others before her own. Marie’s strength, kindness, and compassion left an everlasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, and the love she poured into every relationship. Marie leaves behind a legacy of love and perseverance. She is survived by her beloved husband, Henri Metellus, and her cherished children: Withney Jean-Louis, Rilene Michele Joseph, Wayne Jean-Louis, and Krispin Metellus. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Ayana Hilton and Wayne Jean- Louis Jr. She is also survived by her siblings: Marie Denise Joseph and her sister- in-law, Denise Joseph Metellus; her brothers, Olwich Joseph and Eberne Metellus (brother-in-law). Marie was preceded in death by her beloved sisters, Eveline Joseph and Pauline Joseph, whom she now joins in eternal peace. Her memory will forever be treasured by her extended family, including her beloved cousins: Mr. and Mrs. Jean-Claude St. Eloi, Syriane and Joseph Guillet, Leonne Mennard, Lebert Mennard, Farah Joseph, Farah Gatson, Bernithe Masse, and Joel and Annette Joseph. Her loving nieces and nephews, including Yamile Joseph, James Joseph, Jimmy Joseph, Ryan Joseph, Diana Joseph, and Darius Metellus will continue to carry on her legacy of love and strength. Marie was also blessed with lifelong friendships. She will be dearly missed by her surviving friends: Rose Mornay, Astride Chery, Carole Dimanche, and Marie Marthe Honorat. Her love and kindness will live on in the hearts of those she left behind.
