Marie Senat Cineus

Marie Senat Cineus, also known as, Marie Ghislaine, and affectionately called Lel`ene, was born on June 26, 1950, in Croix des Bouquets, Haiti to her parents, Olivia Louis and Saint Martin Senat. She was loved by all and was treasured from an early age by family and friends, including her siblings, Lucette and Paulemy Senat, as well as her lifelong friends, Laremise Joseph, Celia Raymond, and Bertha Laguerre. Marie lived her life to the fullest with absolutely no regrets. By her side, was her dedicated spouse since 1971, Emmanuel Cineus, and the family they produced and nurtured. She helped to support her family as a housekeeper for many years at the Diplomat Hotel and Miami Beach Resort and Spa. Marie was always young at heart and enjoyed going to theme parks such as Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and Sea World. But most of all, she loved the Lord, and was a dedicated member at Bethany Baptist Church. On August 6, 2022, at Aventura Hospital, Marie Senat Cineus went home to the Lord. She was 72 years old. She is remembered as reserved, loving, and caring. She is survived by her spouse, Emmanuel Cineus; her children, Eddy Cineus, Kesnel Cineus, Georgette Moise, and Carline Cineus; her grandchildren, Kenneth (Kcey Souffrant, Georgiana Moise, Gregory Moise, Carter Moise, Kshawn Cineus, and Arianna Remy; and her siblings, Lucette Senat and Paulemy Senat. Marie was predeceased by her parents and six of her siblings. May they continue to rest in eternal peace. Marie Senat Cineus was very reserved. One of the traits that we most loved about her, was that she did not meddle in other people’s affairs. That’s why, each time someone would strike up a conversation, she had nothing more to say, other than, “sigh humm!” followed by, “gro koze” or “sa di.” That became her trademark. So much so, that even her grandchildren started saying, “sa di” or “gro koze” At the same token, she was a loving and giving individual. If you were ever in need, she would give you the shirt off her back. Her children and grandchildren will continue to live out her legacy. She may be gone from our sight, but she will forever be in our hearts.
