Lormetta Cayo

Lormetta Cayo was born on September 19,1951 in Jacmel, Haiti. Lormetta was the daughter of Meprily Sainfort and Lormeyis Lubin, one of the youngest of 13 children and the last that was living. During her prime years in Haiti, Lormetta was an independent entrepreneur selling confections and dry goods in Jacmel and Port-au-Prince. With courage and determination, Lormetta decided to come to Miami, FL for a better way of living, where she married her husband Guiva Cayo in 1978. The moment he saw her he knew she was the one, and since then they were married for 40 years. Lormetta decided to give her life to Christ as Lord and Savior over her life and was baptized By Pastor Delice of L’Eglise De la Grace De Dieu in October of 2012, and since then she has been a devoted woman of faith. Lormetta worked 33 years in a factory as a paint inspector, then took early retirement at the age of 63. During her remaining years she suffered many complications, but with the strength of the Lord, she fought the good fight until our Father in Heaven called her home on June 24, 2023 at the age of 71, where her mansion is prepared for her (John 14:1-4). Lormetta Cayo was a strong and hard-working woman that always thrived for better. She was a woman of class, elegance, and had a great personality that put a smile on everyone’s face. She was also filled with kindness, always helping, and giving to others in need, opening her home to her family and strangers. Lormetta Cayo’s 71 years of living was not in vain because with the help from God she created a tremendous legacy. She was a wonderful mother of four daughters: Martha, Monita, Jordania, and Jessica; a wonderful stepmother to Guybertho, who all gave her 16 beautiful and amazing grandchildren: Cassie, Tanya, Briana, Dylan, Bianca, Abigail, Christiana, Ashlie, Talik, Elijah, Joshua, Kierra, Desiree, Ziyen, Jeremiah, and Cayden. Lormetta; seven great-grandchildren: Nehemiah, Eathan, Serah, Taylor, Eli, Melanie and 1 on the way. It has been a long journey for you grandma; therefore, it is now time for you to rest in the Lord’s perfect peace. Because you have now gone to our Father God in Heaven in Paradise, rejoicing, no longer in pain and suffering, we too shall rejoice. We thank you for all that you have done, for all your support, we thank you for your love and care and for being the glue to the family. We love you and we will certainly miss you. you’ll forever be in our hearts. Until we meet again.
