Harry Jacques

Harry Jose Jacques was born on February 06th 1963 in Port-au-prince Haiti. Son of late Mercedes Berlus Jacques and Joseph Jacques he is survived by his father Joseph Jacques, His son Raphael Jacques, his step mother Michelle Leriche Jacques his sisters Mercedes Jacques Karambizi, Eleonora Sabine Jacques Reid and Andreanne Leriche Jacques. his nieces: Gaëtane Augustin, Meggane Augustin, Dayane Augustin Risselin, Syanne Pierre, his brothers in law, Elijah Karambizi ,Maurice Reid and his numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Harry spent the first years of his life in Port-Prince Haiti where he attended kindergarten and the first years of primary school in College Bird, not to far from Centre Saint Vincent where his parents were teaching. Harry attended le Petit Séminaire College Saint Martial for a year or two then spent the rest of his High school years at College du Canapé Vert in Port-Prince. At the age of 16 Harry traveled to the USA where he lived in many states for example in Washington DC, Maryland and New York. In 1980 Harry met and married his first wife Yolette Fourcand in Queens New York’s where they stayed together for two years. After their divorce, Harry then traveled back to Haiti where he met and married Katia Edouard Jacques. He later on fathered his and his only child, Raphael, whom he loved dearly and was so proud of, with Marylyn Samedi. Upon his return to the USA and subsequent divorce from Katia Jacques, he met and married Dania Banks Jacques who was his muse, his anchor and his best friend as he loved to call her. Harry was a jovial and playful child often playing marbles with his favorite cousin Jean-Claude. Harry and Jean Claude together had created an imaginary friend called Ti RoRo who was supposedly living in Africa with them. No surprise then that his ashes will be traveling all the way to the mother land with his dear sister Mercedes also known as Patsy, to be scattered there. Harry was a loving person with a proverbial kindness and helpfulness, sharing all his time and possessions with family and friends. At various periods of his life he used to bring home his many (children) friends for his parents to feed. He was also very proud of His mom and Dad and traveled with his Dad, Joe Jack, to many countries on musical tours where he experienced many unforgettable memories like preferring to eat bread and Coca Cola instead of monkey meat in the French Guyana. Talking about food, Harry was a glutton. But let’s not judge him though!!!! He had a 6.2 feet body to feed. Harry was far from being a coward and you can be assured that he had your back in uncertain and even perilous situations. Harry loved his family, his son, his Mom and Dad, his sisters, his numerous cousins, his aunts and uncles. Harry was also a seasoned security officer and a strong personal trainer with one weakness…BEAUTIFUL WOMEN!!!! Harry loved God and was always talking about his spiritual desire of spending eternity with the Lord. RIP Harry, you have finished the race.
