Gabriel St Eloi

Gabriel “Gabou” St.Eloi was a caring husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend to many. He was a force of love, laughter and light in this world. Gabriel took his final rest on June 28, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer. Gabriel was born to Zinno St.Eloi and Pierina Pierre on December 11, 1942 in Leogane, Haiti. Gabriel’s love for his family and friends was genuine and rare. Anybody who knew him would describe him as a humanitarian because of his countless contributions. Gabriel’s journey led him from his early education in Haiti to a new chapter in Belle Glade, Florida. In 1978, he made the courageous decision to migrate and seek new opportunities. He started his professional career in the field of Agriculture, where he dedicated his skills and knowledge for several years. However, Gabriel’s path eventually led him to embrace a different career path. He transitioned into the field of Construction, where he found fulfillment and continued to make a meaningful contribution. Throughout his years in construction, Gabriel’s dedication and hard work earned him the respect of his colleagues and the admiration of many. After years of diligent work, Gabriel eventually reached the well-deserved milestone of retirement. He could look back with pride on his accomplishments and the legacy he left behind in his professional endeavors. Gabriel’s work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence were qualities that defined him throughout his career. In his free time, Gabriel enjoyed immersing himself in his extensive music collection. He found solace and inspiration in the melodies and lyrics that spoke to his soul. Gabriel’s passion for music was contagious, and he delighted in sharing his favorite songs and artists with family and friends. Over time Gabriel collected a substantial amount of Antique vinyl records, 8-tracks, and cassette tapes. Gabriel met the love of his life Marie Germaine Amilcar on 28th July 1967. They dated for 11 years before forming their union on the 20th of May 1978. In 1979, Gabriel and Germaine welcomed their daughter Virguishna St.Eloi who sadly unexpectedly perished at the age of one. After a few years, they then welcomed their son Michelo St.Eloi. Gabriel’s beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of his wife: Marie Germaine St.Eloi; children: Michelo St.Eloi, Virguishna St.Eloi, Hugues St.Eloi; siblings: Raul St.Eloi, Margela St.Eloi, Madame Pierre Paul, Madame Lucienne LaFortune, Dieusel St.Eloi, Raphael St.Eloi, Simon St.Eloi, Laicevra St.Eloi, Madame Loriane St.Eloi, Delouis St.Eloi, Antoine St.Eloi, and a host of other relatives and friends.
