Dieufort Louis

Dieufort Louis (AKA) “Jack” was born on February 8, 1939 in Saint-Louis-Du-Nord, Haiti in the area of Pelitier. He was the son of Mecsan Louis and Veonique Joasil. Dieufort Louis was the fourth born of ten children. He traveled to the Bahamas at an early age in search of a better life in order to support his parents and siblings. At the age of 28, he returned to Haiti, met his beautiful fiancée Melilia Saintil who later became his wife on October 26, 1967, and together they have four children. In July of 1976, he left the Bahamas and moved to Miami, Florida. While living here, he fathered two children with Santilia Amelus. In Miami, he worked a variety of jobs in the hotel industry, night clubs, and construction. He worked very hard to bring his three children from Haiti to Miami. He was a staple in his community, he was well loved by his neighbors. He was a good man and a caring father to his children. In his free time, he loved to watch sports, especially basketball since he was a big fan of the Miami Heat. On Sunday, January 21, 2024, at approximately 6:45 a.m. Dieufort Louis crossed over into paradise at Jackson Memorial Hospital. Dieufort Louis is preceded in death by his loving wife Melilia Saintil; his siblings: Louisinette Louis, Lamercie Louis, Mme Luscat Tuluscat, Meprelus Louis, Marcel Louis, Angelique Joasil, Luc Samson, and Keder Louis; nephew: Toto Tinord. Dieufort Louis is survived by his six children: Johnny Louis, Berline Louis Fertil, Vonie Louis- Belvant, Niva Telfort, Ronie Joseph, and Brenda Louis; his grandchildren: Jimmy Louis, Ithamar Fertil, Janelle Fertil, Rachel Fertil, Isaiah Belvant, Anja Louis, Janaira Louis, Jude Telfort Jr., Juniva Dalia Dolceme, Salina Julie Telfort, Javon Joseph, Ronie Joseph Jr., Zachary Joseph, Brycin Joseph, and Nyla Joseph; his brother: Antoine Louis; his nephews and nieces: Tanis Tinord, Aluscat Tuluscat, Flavie Tinord, Marie-Monfort Tinord, Celavie Tinord, Violette Milien, Emmanuel Brave, Jean-Robert Brave, David Brave, Luckman Samson, Andy Louis, Sony Louis; his sons in-law: Marc Fertil, Edrace Belvant and Jude Telfort; his sisters in-law: Marie-Lina Daniel and Diana Dolce; his cousins: Iliezaire Cella, Mme Eldieu Cherefrere, Celancia Pierrre-Louis, Louverture Charles, Mme Raymond Justin, Mme Bienchere Aimer, Lavictoire Jean, Jetta Charles, Christiane Charles, Leonvil Beaubrun, Boniface Beaubrun, Velamar Beaubrun, Julianie Beaubrun, Camelita Beaubrun, Eldieu Daniel, Mezadieu Daniel, Telina Daniel, Rosalie Pierre, Rose-Marie Jean-Paul, Ifoker Petit, Ivenice Petit, Lucita Francois, Odiles Anofils, Belozier Anofils, Amonese Joseph, Mme Jeannot Joasil, Acedy Laleau, Georges Louidor, and a host of grieving friends and family who loved him dearly.
