Paul Robert Dorsainvil
December 19, 1941 - January 26, 2022
Paul Robert Dorsainvil, lovingly known as Robert or Bob, of Miami, was called upon by The Lord on January 26, 2022, at the age of 80. His beloved wife and children were at his bedside. Paul was born in Cap-Haitian, the second city of Haiti, on December 19, 1941, to Anne Etienne and Roland Dorsainvil. The second of 9 children, he took seriously his role not just as an older brother but as a role model for everyone, whether it was encouraging words or scripture. Paul always had the right sentiment to help anyone in the darkest times or the happiest of moments. In 1971, Paul met Marie-Mode Angrand. They spent 20 years together in New Jersey, where they owned small businesses and quickly became the pillars of their community. As a devout Christian, Paul was active in the church and loved to sing hymns or share a verse of the Bible whether you asked for it or not. Paul had a wicked sense of humor, a childlike joy that showcased his personality, and a sweet tooth like you wouldn’t believe. Amazingly, like a true basketball fan, he died the same day as one of his favorite players, Kobe Bryant. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Philocles and Arnold, his sister Fernande, and his beloved dog Lucky. He is survived by his wife Marie-Mode, his 4 children Frantz, Adeline, Roody Robert, and Jessica Robert; his 8 grandchildren Rockenson, Yves, Fabyola, Giovanni, Jonathan, Jasmine, Jayden, and Danielle; his siblings Nelly, Marie-Lourdes, Louise-Marie, Raymond, Joseph, and a multitude of nieces and nephews. Paul was a genuinely quiet man with an enormous capacity for love, sympathy, compassion, and generosity. He touched many lives during his stay on this earth, and his love for his family will forever be immortalized. May his soul rest peacefully!
