Conceptia Marie Jean was born on May 4, 1967. She was born to Philippe Jean and Fidelia Marie Jean in the beautiful city of Jean-Rabel, Haiti. By the time she was 3 years old, she moved to Miami, Florida. She has five brothers and one sister, better known as “Pepe Kids”. Conceptia was better known as “Conce” to her friends. She was a family-oriented person who loved to serve her friends, family, and community. Conceptia attended Saint Mary’s Catholic School during her early years, then graduated from Archbishop Curley Notre Dame High School. She then earned a bachelor’s degree from Florida International University and a master’s degree from Barry University in Social Work. As a dedicated Social Worker, she devoted her life to ensuring that everyone had a voice. Conceptia was so dedicated to helping individuals in her community and had a giving heart that in 2019, she was awarded the Marie Claire Heureuse Leadership Award in recognition of her long-time contribution to the Family Action Network Movement (FANM), also known as Haitian Women of Miami. She also recently earned the employee of the month at Citrus Health Network. Conceptia was a person of faith who loved the Lord. Conceptia is survived by her parents, Philippe Jean and Fidelia Jean. She has five brothers and one sister: Sandra Jean Slay, Gipson Jean, Smith Jean, James Jean, Herbert Jean, and Ronald Jean. Her sisters-in-law Kim Jean and La Keisha W. Jean. Her best friend Nadine Philogene- Vincent and Mammie Marthe. Nieces & Nephew: Victoria McDonald, Arielle Fidelia Jean, Trinity Jean, Amon-Ra Jean, Eli Jean, Sophia Jean She was a mother and sister to all including, Marie Souffrant, Kytaina Gabriel, Charlene Casseus, Cybille Georges, and Sandy Dorsainvil. All Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Friends.
