Scott Cheron

Scott (Péroux) Chéron was born on a beautiful fall day on November 24, 1958, in Jérémie, Haiti to Décina Chéron. He was raised by his mother and his beloved Aunt, Therése Juste, with unwavering strength and love, who instilled in him their spirit of resilience and determination. Scott’s journey and enjoyment of learning began at, Chez Les Blains primary school and St. Pierre High School in Jérémie. He then received his Accounting Diploma from Cateci College in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti. He received his first job working for Haitian American Sugar Company (HASCO), a large sugar cane company in Haiti where he was Head Accountant. He worked there for four years before immigrating to the United States in 1986. His love for learning continued here in the US where he achieved his Associate of Specialized Technology Degree from Bauder College in Miami, studied hard and passed his US nationalization exam, and learned wielding of lamps/shades while working at Rod international. All while starting a beautiful family and building cherished friendships that lasted him a lifetime. He was highly intelligent and had many passions. This was evidenced in his love of the arts, music, and God. He was baptized at First Baptist Church of North Miami Beach. Scott’s gracious path led him to UPS where he served warmly and then retired after 28 years. Scott was extremely loved by his coworkers and the many familiar neighbors he encountered on his routes. After retirement, his love for music flourished where he leaned into the role of DJ’ing. Scott enjoyed his weekends DJ’ing weddings, anniversary celebrations, birthdays, to name a few! He took an interest in and enjoyed teaching himself to play the guitar and piano. Scott was a very passionate person. He loved deeply and would always express his feelings to those around him. His mother survived him and will miss him dearly. His fiancée and forever travel buddy will miss him dearly. He was extremely loved by his brothers: Aluxon and Clifford and his many cousins. He is survived by his children: Pascale, Philipp, and Tatyana, as well as their spouses and significant others.
