Ofnide Petithomme Dany

As we celebrate 40 years of life with Ofnide Petithomme Dany, please allow us to reminisce about who this phenomenal, God-fearing, nurturing woman was. Ofnide Petithomme was born on May 17, 1983, to the parents of Roselane Herard and Ofrene Petithomme in Miami, FL. Ofnide was the first of four children, followed by Brenda, Nadjema, and Marvin Petithomme. Ofnide was a supportive, loving, non-judgmental, and honest person who embraced everyone that crossed her path. At the age of fourteen, Ofnide accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She walked a steady path in pursuit of Jesus. She volunteered with the children’s ministry, the church cleanup crew, and worked as the church secretary for multiple years at Community Christian Church. Ofnide was a simple, non-materialistic individual who found happiness and satisfaction in the simplest things in life. Ofnide shared a close bond with her family. She loved and cherished them with every beat of her heart. While in high school, Ofnide developed a special relationship with several young ladies: Cindy, Rosena, Sophonie, (the twins) Sheila, Sharon, Virtha, Venice, and her sister Brenda; these young ladies were known as DLG (Daddy’s Little Girls). Just as she had this group of young ladies, there was also a group of young men whom Ofnide shared a special bond. These young men: Dannyco, Edner, Muracin, Jimmy, Jean-Robert, Johnny, Regaine, Rick, Ronel, and Kevin Dany, who later joined the Marine Corp. Being the sweet, gentle, loving friend, Ofnide began to write encouraging letters to Kevin as he served in the Military. After a year, Kevin began to take a liking to Ofnide, which began their beautiful story. Ofnide later married Kevin Dany, a United States Marine on December 20, 2004. In 2005, Ofnide moved to Hawaii with her husband and began her life as Mrs. Ofnide Dany. They traveled the country, living in several cities. After eight years of marriage and suffering a devastating miscarriage, they were blessed with their first son, Kevin Jacob. In 2014, the family returned to Miami to establish permanent roots. Ofnide later gave birth to two more children, Khloe and Kaleb. Throughout the years, Ofnide grew in wisdom and knowledge. Selflessly, she gave her time and talent to everyone she came across. She volunteered at her children’s schools, designing wall arts, assisting teachers in classrooms, chaperoning field trips, tutoring, mentoring, and counseling multiple parents with children of special needs. Ofnide had a generous heart. She blessed everyone around her. And speaking of her talents, as most of you know, even as private as she was, Ofnide has an Instagram page and a YouTube channel, (check her out) @CHRISTINGYRL3 where she shares with the world her talent and love for nails. Her legacy lives on! OFNIDE! The most creative, and artistic person I know. On December 28, 2023, God called her home. As we mourn her departure, we thank God and celebrate her remarkable life. Ofnide will be missed by many, but most of all she will be remembered for her infectious personality, love, and heart of gold. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, daughter, cousin, niece, Godmother, and friend. She sends her hugs from heaven and we in turn send our hugs to Ofnide, love always. Ofnide leaves behind her husband Kevin Dany; children: Kevin Jacob, Kloe, and Kaleb; God-daughter: Julienne Grace Clarke; mother Roselane Herard; father Ofrene Petithomme; siblings: Brenda, Nadjema, and Marvin Petithomme; nephews: Francisco, Epic, Carmello, and Amir; nieces: Priya Petithome, Zendaya, Nay’Vianna, and ZaBella Dany; mother-in-law: Martha Dany; sisters-in-law: Durallia, Jacqueline, and Shelene Dany; brothers-in-law: Francis, Kenol, Gregory, and Moses Dany; aunt: Odette; uncles: Tony Silien, Jean, Marceline, Paul; family friends: The Alexis Family, The Guillaume Family, The Nelfort Family, The Telfort Family, The Brave Family, The Paul Family, The Joseph Family, The Pierre Family, and the entire Dany Family, and a host of cousins and friends.
