Nattacha Jocelyn

The twenty-fifth of August 1983, Nattacha was welcomed to this world by her parents Marie Vivianne Exant and Sony Jocelyn, and her two older brothers Jerry and Larry. As a child, Nattacha had many talents. She was wise far beyond her years and showed devotion to the Lord. And as the youngest sibling – our princess – she knew she could always get her way and she always did, with her older brothers. Her immediate and extended family members, far and wide, always wished for Nattacha to pursue her dreams, encouraged and praised her daily and are all deeply proud of the woman Nattacha grew to be. She was an exceptional student, attending Miami Shores Elementary School and Horace Mann Middle School before being accepted into Miami Norland Senior High School, where she carried a 3.8 GPA. She was awarded several academic scholarships to attend Florida International University, where she majored in business accounting. This would be the beginning of who we now know as Nattacha the businesswoman. Periot. Nattacha excelled in her career at Bank of America, where her nurturing, positive, and welcoming personality helped her establish a large client base and many strong friendships. With over 10 years in the financial industry and the support of her loved ones, in 2014, Nattacha took the leap of faith to pursue her passion for entrepreneurship. She grew Nattacha Financial Services Foundation to become one of the most well-known tax preparers in the Haitian community that she loved so deeply. With her debt relief and accounting services, she helped guide and support others as they worked to start their own businesses and foundations and grow their personal wealth. It is well known, Nattacha was always looking for opportunities to uplift her Heritage and those in the Haitian Community. She carried many titles: CEO, CPA, Federal Government Contractor, Miami-Dade Contractor, FDOT Certified Firm member, Lobbyist, Shawn Carter Charity donor, and FIU Alumni donor. But her greatest title was Child of God, which guided and developed so many of her amazing attributes. Nattacha’s churches – the Evangelical Haitian Church of Florida and Deliverance Haitian Church taught her to serve with her time, talents, and treasures. She did this through her work with Camillus House, an organization whose mission is rooted in the compassionate Hospitality of St. John of God, working to improve the quality of life of those who are vulnerable and homeless in South Florida. She served meals and provided companionship to those being served and worked to create partnerships with her professional networks and Camillus House. Most recently, she joined Camillus House as a Board Member. Among these incredible traits and accomplishments, Nattacha was deeply loved by all who knew her. Her infectious laugh, her beautiful smile, her sense of humor, her kindness, and her angelic soul will forever be missed by her family members, her fellow church members, and her closest friends who knew her best. Each morning now and going forward will have an absence without Nattacha’s daily Glam Morning and positive words of encouragement through text messages, but we will forever hold her words in our hearts. Nattacha sadly, was called home to be with the Lord in the early morning hours of Friday, November 4. Her time on this Earth may have been short, but the very large number of people Nattacha touched, supported, and uplifted in those years is an example we all wish to live up to. Thank you, Nattacha for blessing us all with your beautiful and kind heart. Nattacha is survived by her Mother Marie Vivianne Exant, her Father Sony Jocelyn, her older Brothers Diemsk Jean and Larry Jocelyn, her Sister-in-law Kristi Jocelyn, her Godmother Marie Denise Lucien, her Goddaughter Stephanie Exan. On her mother’s side of family, her, Aunt Marie Elange Exan and cousins; Nadine Nelson, Marie Lherisson, Jean Lherisson, Myrdaine Exan, Joanna Exan, Nicoldin Exant, Antionette Goler, also the entire Silveyo and Alda Families. On her Father’s side her God sister and God Brother Jananne and Jeffrey Herard and the entire Herard family, and cousins Joanita Loubeau, Francene Herard, Lindin, Linda, and Yardley Loubeau and the entire Loubeau family, and the Noel and Bazil families.
