Joseph Guerrier

Elionmin Joseph Guerrier was born in Leogane, Haiti, in an area called Bagardere, to his parents Cinelia Paul Flon and Jean-Jacques Louis Ilofene Guerrier on May 18, 1930. He married the love of his life, Oralia Milfort, in Leogane and built a career as a serial entrepreneur there and later retired in Miami, Florida. He launched many successful businesses in the construction, farming, and seafood industries. On September 23, 2022, Elionmin Joseph Guerrier passed away after a very fulfilled life at Pines Nursing Home in North Miami Beach, Florida. He was 92 years old. He will be remembered as a very stand-up man, an exemplary husband, father, uncle, cousin, grandfather, and friend, who enjoyed spending time with his family, sharing stories, and being a mentor to everyone around him. He was a very giving and good-hearted man who will be remembered for all his kind deeds. And as a Christian, he will also be remembered for his love of Church, where he would praise the Lord joyfully by clapping his hands to his favorite hymns. Rosary and visitation will be at 6pm – 9pm on Friday, October 7, 2022, at North Miami Church of Nazarene, located at 1195 NW 124th St, North Miami, FL 33168. After the service, a rosary and visitation reception will be held at the family home, located at 880 N.W. 129 Street, Miami, FL 33168. Funeral service will be held at 12:00pm on Saturday, October 8, 2022, at North Miami Church of Nazarene, located at 1195 NW 124th St, North Miami, FL 33168. Burial will follow at Southern Memorial, located at 15000 W Dixie Hwy, North Miami, FL, 33181. Reception will be held at Channell’s Exquisite Venue: 1201 N.W. 54 Street, Miami, FL 33141. Food and drinks will be served. Arrangements are by St. Fort’s Funeral Home. Watson Guerrier, Ernst Guerrier, Mercatur Guerrier, Emmanuel Dominique, Endy Dominique, Evens Guerrier, and Orlando Guerrier will perform the solemn duty of escorting him as his pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be, Anderson Guerrier, Ginel Jean, Philip Jasmin, Karry Guerrier, Isaiah Beauplant, and Engelo Dominique. The family of Mr. Guerrier wishes to thank everyone who showed support during this time of extraordinary grief. Words are few and inadequate to express our deepest and sincerest appreciation.
