Immacula Jean

Immacula Cadet was born to the late Jules Cadet and Cherisna Cherisien on September 17th, 1939, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti where she went to school and spent her younger years. She was a part of The Miss Haiti pageant, then found the love of her life, Hughes Jean. She and Hughes started their family with their first two sons in 1962. By 1965 Hughes traveled to the United States and shortly after she then migrated with the boys to New York City in 1966. In New York, she has found a new life where she started her career as a nurse aide. Shortly after, she added to the family by having three daughters; she and her five kids then moved to Miami, Florida for a more comfortable life. Her moving to the Sunshine State then led all family and friends to migrate down. As her life continued, her family started to grow her children started to get married and have their own families and she was blessed with her new role as grandmother. She was surrounded by faith, family, and love. In April 2020, a sudden tragedy occurred in her life when she lost her first son the late Angelo Wiz Jean. She loved music and entertaining others. Cooking was a passion of hers, as she loved to see everybody eat her delicious Haitian cuisine. Immacula overall had a kind loving spirit that was hard to resist her love. As she became a mother figure to all, “Mama” is the name that struck with her forever, and always. Mama heart was so big, full of joy she left a genuine, sincere impact of warmth on everyone she came in contact with. At sunset on January 6th, 2025, she moved into her eternal rest. She leaves behind her youngest sister: Marie Carmelle Cadet-Beausejour; her children: Hughes Michel Jean, Joan Jean Charles, Sabine Jean, Galia Derissaint, her grandchildren: Shawn Jean, Patrice Nicolas, Johnathan, Kevin Jean, Bruttney Derissaint, Wadelyn Charles, Isaiah Celestin, Westley Charles, Tahjiera Jean, Wakyta “Kikie” Charles, Michelle Jean, Brianie Derissaint, Lexi Jean, and Jehnari Derissaint; her great-grandchildren: Zaria, Layla Fulger, Kassidy, Major, Aiden, and Nolan Jean; her nephew: Jeffery Cadet, and Edwin Cadet; her nieces: Betty, Martine, Karlen, Nathlie, Narnike, Sheyla Cadet, Tatyana Cadet-Beausejour, Guirlah, and Guishnah; her Godson Gasner Luna; her cousins: Evans, and Harry, and a host of other family and friends.
