Delama Clervil

Delama Clervil was born in Anse a Foleur, Haiti, on June 15, 1933, to his father, Laurama Clervil and his mother, Racil Saintil. He fulfilled his mission on earth and went home to the Lord on June 28, 2022. Delama was loved and treasured by all from an early age, including his siblings, Laurent Clervil, Vixon Clervil, Madame Louissaint Joseph, Clesilia Clervil, Ezirlie Clervil, and Merancine Clervil. He received his early education at Primaire a L’ecole National in Haiti where he fostered great friendships and developed an early interest in the visual arts. Delama became a talented artist, best known for his works while living in the Bahamas, before migrating to the United States. From 1964 to 2004, Delama was married to Auxila Clervil until she passed away. He found love again, and married Marie Marthe Charles in 2005. He had one biological child, Dieumene Clervil, 10 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. He is remembered as helpful, funny, hardworking, and caring. Delama was a very religious man who attended Church services every Sunday at Eglise Evangelique de Dieu. He is survived by: his wife, Marie Martha Charles; his son, Dieumène Clervil; his step-children, Linda Sylvian, Cleevens Sylvain, and John Sterlin Sylvian; his grandchildren, Jackine Azy Navaro Clervil, André John Carlemps Clervil, Rose-Stecy Michaëlle Clervil, Donalson Clervil, Jean Hérot Clervil,Andy Clervil ,Mariline Mathvorce Clervil, Tonty Francoeur, Sabina Tertulien, and Richie Francoeur; his great grandchildren, Tontyana Francoeur, Ashton Francoeur, Manfred Augustin, and Amari Tertulien; his nieces, Julien Clervil, Innocent Marc, Alice Marc, and Charite Marc. The family wishes to thank everyone who showed support during this time of extraordinary grief. We would like to acknowledge family, friends, and members of Eglise Evangelique de Dieu, as well as, the St. Fort’s Funeral Home staff, and the City of Miami motors unit. “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” - Matthew 11:28-30
